The Daily Show in NYC (Photo Below)

Monday afternoon libertarian-Republican GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul was in New York City to appear in Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show on Comedy Central TV. And Liberty Dollar was there to welcome Ron to NYC! All of us Ron Paul ReLOVEutionaries were waiting patiently on long lines to get a glimpse of our country’s best hope for Liberty on the TV show. But when we heard the exciting commotion in front of the studios, many of us lost our patience and rushed over to see if Ron Paul had really arrived.

Ron arrived in a neat black sedan with his staff in front of The Daily Show entrance, he got right out and immediately started talking with everyone. Ron is a real gentleman. He took the time to speak with every person who wanted to talk with him, and he posed for pictures with every person who wanted one. People were taking videos of Ron, and everyone was happy and excited. Ron is also very easy going. Everyone feels comfortable talking with him, and he likes everyone. But people were excited, too. There is a real passion and energy that Ron has generated in people who are so hopeful about this campaign.

When Ron first arrived, I reached over several other people and said to him, “Ron, Ron, Ron, let me give you a Liberty Dollar.” Obviously Ron has been given Liberty Dollars in person before and he is quite familiar with them. I gave him a brand new 2007 $20 silver Liberty fresh from a new shipment. Ron was surprised and pleased. He held up the silver Liberty and the crowd laughed with pleasure. Then I backed away to let other people have a chance to talk to Ron.

Later, after he had talked with everyone and posed for all their photos, there was a lull and Ron was standing around for a moment. I took out a $20 Liberty Dollar certificate and another $20 silver Liberty and pushed my way through the crowd. I asked Ron, “Ron, let me get a picture of you with these Liberty Dollars.” Ron was cool with that and he immediately posed with me and the Libertys. Here’s a picture taken with my cellular phone camera by a Ron Paul ReLOVEutionary in the crowd who helped me by taking the picture:

A couple of minutes later, Ron and his staff were ushered into the studios, and the ushers started screening people on the lines and giving them their tickets. Unfortunately, even though I had registered for two tickets, I had not seen any instructions for printing out my receipt, so the ushers finally refused to give me a ticket because they said they had no extras. I tried explain to them I am the publisher of American Gun Nut e-letter and I would be sending this news report all over the world and mentioning The Daily Show, but no cigar, they refused. So I finally threw up my hands, left and went home to relax. But Ron’s appearance with Jon Stewart tonight was another big success for the campaign. Ron Paul just makes people happy and creates laughter and cheer wherever he goes, and audiences and people love him. The show was broadcast tonight at 11pm, and there will be clips of it on
You Tube soon no doubt.

People like Ron Paul, and they like his record in government.

A Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:

-He has never voted to raise taxes.

-He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.

-He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.

-He has never voted to raise congressional pay.

-He has never taken a government-paid junket.
